Fabric curtain

A fabric curtain can be one of the nicest things you ever do you for your home, and the planet. If you choose a pattern, color or style that complements your existing dcor, or if you choose your other furnishings in order to play nicely with what’s on your windows, a fabric curtain can serve to warm up a room instantly – both figuratively and literally.

Whether you opt for tailored pleat, pinch pleat, inverted pleat, grommet drapery, ripple fold drapery, cubicle drapery, rod pocket drapery or goblet drapery, the fabrics you choose can add a touch of elegance, sophistication and style if you keep them closed or open and close them frequently.

In addition to adding style, fabric curtains can also do wonders in terms of insulation. If you choose a heavy fabric you will see a difference in you’re A/C bills in the summer because it will help keep the hot, humid, often-stifling air at bay. And in the winter, you’ll notice lower heating bills because the heavy fabric curtains will keep the coziness indoors and the frigid and biting winter cold air outside.

For further insulation help, consider adding a liner to the curtains. Either a blackout lining (which will also help keep a room dark and cool in the summer) or a privacy + interlining will go that extra step to keep the inside and outside air separate. And if you choose to add a cornice on top, it add the just the perfect finishing touch, design-wise.
