The Giants of Sales $17.66 Sales theories come and sales theories go, but nothing beats learning from the original masters. The Giants of Sales introduces readers to the techniques developed by four legendary sales giants, and offers concrete examples of how they still work in the 21st century. The book reveals how: * In his quest to sell a brand new product known as the cash register, John Henry Patterson came up with a repeatable sales process tailor-made for his own sales force * Dale Carnegie taught people how to win friends and influence customers with powerful methods that still work * Joe Girard, listed by Guinness as the world’s greatest salesman, didn’t just sell cars, he sold relationships…and developed a successful referral business * Elmer Wheeler discovered fundamental truths about persuasion by testing thousands of sales pitches on millions of people, and achieved great success in the middle of the Great Depression Part history and part how-to, The Giants of Sales gives readers practical, real-world techniques based on the time-tested wisdom of true sales masters. |

Sales Training $30.46 Long gone are the days of the plaid-clad, gold chained, cheesy car salesperson who greets you as if they have been your best buddy for years. Gone are the days of the sell them and forget them attitudes. Gone are the days of the fast talking, slicked haired high pressure closers. These stereotypes have plagued the automotive sales industry since the early 80’s. A vehicle purchase is one of the biggest decisions we all make in our lives. In order to change these images, the Automotive Sales College was established in 1996. Selling cars before 1980 was easy. There was not much competition in North America in those days. People use to line up at there local dealer. If the customer did not have the money, they were kicked you out of the showroom. That’s what you call supply and demand. Times have changed. We see it everyday on TV and in the newspapers. How sales people communicate with customers purchasing a new vehicle today has to be done by professionally training sales people. Education and Training is critical for Anyone entering the Auto Sales Profession. There’s Only One Thing Worse than a Well Trained Sales Person that Quits, That’s an Untrained One that Stays. Follow this Book and You Will become Successful in Any Sales Career. To Contact the Automotive Sales College International, go to: www.visitasc.com |

The Cars of Pullman $30.07 One of America’s greatest business enterprises, the Pullman Company provided outstanding service aboard a vast fleet of railroad passenger cars that could be found in almost every nook and cranny of the United States. This illustrated history examines Pullman’s diverse fleet, from its spectacular custom-built wooden cars of the nineteenth century to steel heavyweight cars in the prewar years and on into the lightweight streamlined era. Author Joe Welsh includes period photos, many in rare color, as well as car diagrams and ads that help trace the development, composition, and evolution of the historically and culturally significant Pullman fleet, including the gamut of sleeper, parlor, and restaurant cars. This is a fitting tribute to the former cultural icons aboard which strode giants of American life, such as Babe Ruth and Clark Gable, as well as first-time travelers from small-town America. |

Mastering Incoming Sales Calls $6.19 Every time someone calls a business they have chosen that organisation as a possible supplier of something they want. Each incoming call is not just a possible customer, but a probable customer. They are a hot opportunity that has come knocking at the door, and are the most likely buyers any business will encounter. Converting them into sales can be easy, but only if you manage the calls properly! There are many books on outgoing telephone sales calls, but ones specifically with incoming calls are few and far between. The Jordan Automobile: A History $107.25 Edward Stanlaw Ned Jordan was a pioneer of automobile advertising and sales who got his start with Thomas B. Jeffery and Company in 1907. In 1916 he founded the Jordan Motor Car Company with Russell S. Begg and Paul Zens. This is both a biography of Ned Jordan and a history of his company and its vehicles from its beginning in 1916 to its end on April 1, 1932, when non-payment of franchise taxes forced its dissolution. Jordan’s models were four- and seven-passenger custom type touring cars, but it would become famous for the Sport Marine, the Playboy, the Little Tomboy, and the Little Custom Jordan. Jordan was also known for its advertising, as it was among the first companies to use full color in its advertisements and target its marketing efforts to women and young people. |
