Clutchless shifter or ?

Didn’t get a good answer for this question but my brother purchased a 1970 dodge challenger, has a 440 motor, set up for drag racing with fuel cell, parachute, roll cage, and this weird shifter it’s not automatic I dont think and has no clutch pedal so its not manual, but we don’t know how to drive it or if it’s even street legal, but was purchased by a dealership, it’s to embarrassing to go back to ask them how to drive this vehicle, does anybody have any experience that can help me and my brother, seriously I can put up a YouTube vid if it’ll help
The thing that is throwing me off is that the handle to a manual transmission was in the trunk upon purchase also underneath where the transmission and engine block meet the fly wheel I believe is completely visible, I will put up a vid tomorrow complete over view of the vehicle

Sounds like an auto trans to me but with an aftermarket gate or ratchet shifter in it

May or may not be a manual valve body auto trans (no auto function, must make up and down shifts yourself)

If you can get me a picture of the shifter, I can tell you what it is
